Veto Power/Overriding President Veto
Congress can override a veto by passing the act by a two-thirds vote in both the House and the Senate. (Usually an act is passed with a simple majority.) This check prevents the President from blocking an act when significant support for it exists.

Commander of Army
Navy and Militia to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the US

One’s that turn up in multiple cases
One’s that aren’t the individual state’s choices
Why are the supreme court justices important?
They protect the constituation and it’s laws and is the interpreter of what the constitution says and also makes sure that the citizens of America are equal
How long are the appointments of a Supreme Court Judge?
They don’t have a fixed term: they can leave if they retire, die, etc…
Who picks the supreme court justices?
The president along with the advice and consent of the senate and house reps
What is an amendment?
A change or addititon to a text
How many times has the constitution been amended?

How are amendments made?
The house and Senate vote (2/3 of participation) and the amendments are passed
What is the 1st amendment about?
It is about how there can be no prohibiting freedom of speech, practice of religion, and of the people peacefully coming together

The right to keep and bear arms
