Spent Resin is sluiced to a liner or High Integrity Container(HIC), then dewatered & dried with Resin Drying system

What remote operated equipment can be control from SR Control Panel ?

1 High Activity & 1 Low Activity are provided to holdup spent resin for decay prior to Wet Waste processing
What kind of resin does the High Activity Spent Resin Tank have ? What Ion Exchangers does it normally receive spent resin from ?
-Receives any resin that exceeds 500mr/hr

-Line inside a line which provides sluice water & sluices it out
-Air & Nitrogen are backup methods for Fluidizing

-Used to transfer resin from Aux.Building & Radwaste Building Ion Exchangers to Spent Resin Tanks

When drying the spent resin what should you be aware of ?
Be aware of possible exothermic reactions in waste container during drying of spent resin
In event of Exothermic reaction what should you do ?
Flood the container with water using the same waste transfer hose so you don’t have to disconnect the hose until process is complete
What is the Radioactive Filter Transfer Cask used for?
Used to shield highly radioactive filters from filter vault to disposable container
