What is concussion?
An impact to the head causes unconciousness, confusion or memory loss.
How does a soft tissue injury occur?
Movement of joints outside the bodys range.

How does torn cartilage occur?
Damage to cartilage often occurs due to wear and tear from long term overuse.
How does fractures occur?
Car accidents

Name the 5 Injury preventions?
•Correct application of the principles of training.
•Correct application and aherence to the rules.
•Use of appropriate protective clothing.
•Checking of equipment and facilities.
•Effective use of a warm up and cool-down.
What is ‘correct application of the principles of training?’
This is training your specific muscles/skills used in football to prepare your body for games.
What is ‘Correct application and aherence to the rules?’
This is making sure you play by the rules, meaning dont be making stupid tackles to purposefully hurt someone.
What is ‘Use of appropriate protective clothing?’
This is wearing the right equipment to prevent the chance of injury. For example a footballer wears shin pads.
What is ‘Checking of equipment and facilities?’
This is the refferee making sure the pitch is alright to play on and the football isnt too hard that it might hurt someone.
What is ‘Effective use of a warm up and cool-down?’
This is using the warm up effectively to prepare your body for the activity about to be completed and the cool down is telling your body to go back to its normal way not participating in an activity.
