who is this intended for? seizures cpg
adult pts who have had a single seizure that has been self limted and they have had a full recovry
if the pt has self administered buccal midazolam or rectal diazapam do they need to be transported?
no neccissarily if it is in their action plan - consult plan for further detials
when should carers be advised to call an ambulance?
if pt has another seizure before seeing doctor
if pt doesnt fully recover/ takes longer than usualy
if pt has seizure lasting longer than 5 minute/ diff usual presentation s
seizure continues despite manamgnet plan
pt injuries themselves, vomits or is submurged in water
carer has concerns
when should u not proceed with seizure treat and refer?
pt requires monitoring/hopsital manamgnet
pt risks further seizure if left
pregnant
unwitnessed
pt requests transport
what things would mean seizure pt needs further monitoring/hops assessment
incomplete recovory - normal concious
suspected non-epelitic cause
non diagnosis epilpsy - first prestnetion
different than usual presentation
concurrent ilnees
injury, aspiration or submersion
pt administerd midazolam
what things would mean pt at risk of recurrent seizure?
hx multiple seizures
pt feels impending seizure
pt unable to be monitored by responsible adult
