- nebule

What are the indications of salbutamol?
- bronchospasm
- exacerbation of COPD
- respiratory distress following submersion incident
What are the contra-indications of salbutamol?
KSAR
KNOWN SEVERE ADVERSE REACTION
What is the usual dosage of salbutamol in adults?
5mg NEB/100mcg metered aerosol spray (x11)
Repeat NEB at 5 minute intervals PRN
What is the usual dosage of salbutamol in a paediatric case under 5 years?
< 5 years - 2.5mg NEB/100mcg metered aerosol spray (repeat aerosol x5)
What is the usual dosage of salbutamol for a paediatric over 5 years?
> 5 years 5mg NEB/100mcg metered aerosol spray (repeat aerosol x11)

What are the side effects of salbutamol?
-tachycardia
-tremors
-tachyarrythmias
