Poor in binding to cyanide, iron salts and some solvents methanol/ethanol

50g PO
Reconstituted with water
Repeat as necessary

Not indicated
What are the side effects of activated charcoal?
BEZOAR (mass in GI system)
CONSTIPATION
DIARRHOEA
BLACK STOOLS
GI DISORDERS
CAUTION: ASPIRATIONS MAY LEAD TO AIRWAY OBSTRUCTION
