A
- 10-20 g buccal (repeat after 15 mins if needed)

What is the usual dosage of glucose gel in a paediatric?
A
> 8 yrs 10-20g buccal (repeat after 15 mins of required)
< 8 yrs 5-10g buccal (repeat after 15 mins if required)
Neonate 2-4g if blood glucose is <2.5mmol/L

What are the side effects of glucose gel?
A
May cause vomiting in patients under the age of 5 if administered too quickly
