Q

You’re in restricted visibility and you’ve heard a fog signal forward of your beam but haven’t detected a target on the radar, what action will you take?

A

As I have heard a fog signal forward of the beam with no detection on radar, this means a vessel could be 2 miles away or less. Therefore I will reduce my speed to minimum to maintain my course or I will take all way off until the danger of collision has passed
