What is a radar plot?

A

A radar plot is an observation of target to obtain CPA, TCPA, Course, Speed and aspect from another vessel.

How many plots do you need for a radar plot?

A

At minimum three, this is because risk of collision shall not be based on scanty information, especially scanty radar information. (Rule 7 - C)

A

You extend the O-A line and measure at a right angle from own ships position.
