A

A Routeing chart is used for passage planning for ocean voyages. They are published for each of the 12 months and contain expected meteorological and oceanographic conditions for the time of year and also:

  • Routes and distances between major ports
  • Ocean currents
  • Ice limits
  • Loadline zones
  • Wind roses

- Volume 2 = Pacific an Indian Ocean
These provide recommend routes, distances, wind, weather, currents and ice hazards. This book is also know NP136.
