D&C
procedure to remove tissue from inside your uterus. Doctors perform dilation and curettage to diagnose and treat certain uterine conditions — such as heavy bleeding — or to clear the uterine lining after a miscarriage or abortion.

Gravida= how many times a woman has been pregnant
Gravida 4= woman pregnant 4 times (regardless of outcome)
Laparoscopy
a surgical procedure in which a fiber-optic instrument is inserted through the abdominal wall to view the organs in the abdomen or to permit a surgical procedure.
Lesion
a region in an organ or tissue that has suffered damage through injury or disease, such as a wound, ulcer, abscess, tumor, etc.
Menstrual
of or relating to the menses or menstruation.

the development of secondary malignant growths at a distance from a primary site of cancer.

Neoplastic
of or relating to a neoplasm or neoplasia.
Neoplasm: a new and abnormal growth of tissue in some part of the body, especially as a characteristic of cancer.

Para= defined as the number of times that she has given birth to a fetus with a gestational age of 24 weeks or more, regardless of whether the child was born alive or was stillborn.
Para 4=4 children born after the age of 24+ weeks
Postmenopausal
After menopause, the period of time after a woman has experienced 12 consecutive months without menstruation.
Premarin
brand name for an estrogen medication that consists of conjugated estrogens isolated from the urine of pregnant mares (pregnant mares’ urine).
Preulcerating
Before developing into or becoming an affected ulcer.
Axilla
the space below the shoulder through which vessels and nerves enter and leave the upper arm; a person’s armpit.
