A
protruding mucosal mass from anus
usually during/due to defecation

what are different kinds
A
can be partial (anterior mucosal prolapse) or complete (full thickness)

what are symptoms
A
loss of anal tone
bleeding, mucus stools

how is it treated
A
nothing if asymptomatic
stool softener
surgery (most cant cope with this so usually bulking agent and education on manual reduction)

perineal rectopexy
