A

Loudness

A

Sound intensity, expressed in dB. Has to do with air pressuyre and amplitude of wave. Interacts with fequency, but perception is subjective

Pitch

A

Frequency of a wave (Hz). Interacts with harmonics. We hear the f0, largest common divider. Ptich is processed in the belt, pure tones without harmonics by A1.

Timbre

A

We can distinguish piano from violin even though they play the same pitch/loudness. Quality of sound, it’s due to the envelope.
