Valid cue; flash of light where target wil be
invalid cue; flash of light at non-target location

Subjects have no choice of using the cue
Validity therefore doesn’t matter
Timing very different, needs to be less than 200 ms

When the 200 ms is exceded the results get worse

Valid cue has higher accuracy and faster RT
Invalid has lower acc and slower RT
BUT valid effect only below 200 ms.
