Magnetoencephalography; MEG Flashcards
1
Q
Magnetoencephalography; MEG
A
Electrical current produces magnetic field orthogonal (perpendicular) to the electrical field
2
Q
Active neurons
A
Can measure neurons that are parallel to the skull (not possible in EEG)
Therefore more possible to obtain signals from deep brain structure and better spatial resolution
3
Q
Disadvantage
A
Very expensive, subjects movements are restricted as it’s not attached like in EEG.
