What is the fixator muscle ?
Give an example.
The muscle that stabilises the joint where the origin of the agonist sits.
Ex. Deltoid during flexion of elbow
Abduction

Adduction
limb moves towards the midline
Horizontal Flexion
limb parallel to the ground moves forward
Horizontal Extension
limb parallel to the ground moves backwards
Medial Rotation
limb moves about its longitudinal axis towards midline
Lateral Rotation

Dorsi Flexion
Toes lifted up towards shin
Plantar Flexion
Toes pointed down towards ground
