Q

What happens during mitosis?

4 steps

A
  1. DNA replicates to form 2 copies of each chromosome
  2. Cell grows and copies its internal structures eg mitochondria and ribosomes
  3. 1 set of chromosomes is pulled to each end of the cell, nucleas also divides
  4. Cytoplasm and cell membrane divide to form 2 identical daughter cells
