Medication that changes the levels of cholesterol

Issues with statins
A
- Side effects
- Must be taken regularly

- Risk of blood clotting is low
- No long term use of medication
- Tissues are strong and flexible
9
Q
Disadvantages of biological valves
A
- Lasts 10-20 years
- More expensive than mechanical valves
- Not lightweight, strong and as durable as mechanical valves
