Treatement
Stage 1 (orchidectomy) if cancer is knly found in testicle
Radical orchidectomy
Testis remove through inguinal incision
Libido and orgasm not impaired
Remaining testicle still proces sperm
If cancer is beyond testicle
May need retroperitoneal lymph node dissection
Chemotherapy
May leave male infertile
Effects on sexual reproduction
Vasectomy
Vasovasostomy (sterilisation reversal)
Semen cryopreservation ( sperm banking)
Preventive health testicular self examination
Screening: monthly self-exam and annual testicular examination
