  • Bruises
  • Eczema
  • Moles w/o prior approval

  • Drink plenty of water or natural juices for 2 to 3 days before session
  • Don’t wear make up to session
  • No clothing that indents skin
  • Plan a face session lasting 30 to 40 min and a body session lasting 75 to 90 min
  • Avoid processed and fatty foods the day of the session

Purpose of Light Pressure During Lymphatic Drainage

A

Stimulate stretch receptors of the skin, which in turn opens the lymph vessels. If the touch is too heavy, the vessels of the superficial lymphatic system will be compressed, preventing the free flow of lymph.
