“Zoolander Strikes Excellent Poses: Le Tigre, Ferrari, Magnum”
where do nerves and vessels pass
through fissures in or next to sphenoid
where are the 7 muscles of the eye located
6 on eye, one on eyelid
what are the 6 muscles ON the eye
4 recti (medial, lateral, superior, inferior) 2 obliques (superior and inferior)
what is the muscle of the eyelid
levator palpebrae superiorus
what kind of muscle is the superior tarsal
smooth
what are the 7 opthalmic artery branches
central artery of retina, lacrimal, ciliaries, ethmoidal, dorsal nasal, supratrochlear, supraorbital
what does the opthalmic artery branch off of
internal carotid
what postganglionic automics are related to the eye (overall groupings)
Vision, eye muscles, sensory, facial expression
what cranial nerve relates to vision
Optic (II)
what cranial nerve relates to eye muscles
occulomotor (III), trochlear (IV), abducens (VI)
what sensory nerve relates to the eye
trigeminal - opthalmic division (V1)
what facial expression nerve relates to the eye
facial (VII), obicularis occuli
do V 1 and 2 have postganglionic autonomics
YES but they only carry them, not native here.
V1 and V2 postganglionic autonomics
PS: lacrimal gland (VII, carried by V2 to V1)
Pupil constrictor and ciliary muscles of lens: occulomotor carried by V1
Sympathetics: pupil dilator and superior tarsal are carried by V1
