Patient hasn’t thought too much about their issue

Patient is beginning to think and realise the significance of their health issue (can be helped by health professional)
What’s involved in determination?
Patient makes decisions about their behaviour
What’s involved in action?
Take action
What may happen before maintenance?
Relapse as it may take patient several times to contemplate and take action
What’s involved in maintenance?
Maintenance in longer term
