A
A predicate asserts something about the subject of a sentence

What is the old testament significance of bread?
A
- God provided manna for the Israelites when they were in the desert
- the law was often symbolised by bread - shows that Jesus supersedes the law
- bread is associated with the temple - shows Jesus is the key figure in replacing old testament belief
- during Passover, Jews ate unleavened bread before God rescued them from slavery. Bread therefore represents salvation
