3. Violator does not agree to or cannot promptly correct the violation.

1. Pursuant to section 2810 (a) CVC, CHP officers may stop any vehicle on a highway which is transporting any timber product, livestock, poultry, farm produce, crude oil, other petroleum products, or inedible kitchen grease to investigate if the driver is in legal possession of the load. Probable cause is NOT a prerequisite for stopping a vehicle to determine legal possession.
