CONTRA-INDICATIONS
A
SBP <90mmHg
Viagra/phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor used within 24hrs
Severe mitral stenosis
KSAR

DOSAGE
A
ADULT
ANGINA/MI: 400mcg
(repeat at 3-5min intervals, max 1200mcg)
PULMONARY OEDEMA: 800mcg (repeat x1 PRN)
PAEDIATRIC: Not indicated

SIDE EFFECTS
A
Headache
Transient Hypotension
Flushing
Dizziness

CAUTIONS
A
Inferior wall MI with right ventricular involvement may lead to profound hypotension
