Blistering and ulceration of external genitalia 
Pain 
External dysuria 
Vaginal or urethral discharge 
Local lymphadenopathy

A

More common with HSV-2
Usually unilateral/small blisters and ulcers
Minimal systemic symptoms, resolves within 5-7 days
Viral shedding

Management of Genital herpes?

A

Oral antiviral treatment: acyclovir 400mg TDS x5/7
Consider topical lidocaine 5% ointment if painful
Saline bathing
Analgesia
