Aircraft Registration
How long after the tail number is changed must the airworthiness certicate reflect the change?
Within 10 days
Where can registration numbers be place?
- The vertical tail
- The fuselage between the trailing edge of the wing and the leading edge of the horizontal stabilizer
- If the engines are on the back,the number can be on the engine pod

What must the dimensions of registration numbers be?
The height must be at least 12 inches, width must be at least 2/3 wide as it is high, except for the number one, that only has to be 1/6th as wide as they are high, the letters M and W can be as wide as they are high. Must be uniform on both sides of the aircraft

- 30 days after death of owner (within 60 days after the death of the owner, someone needs to turn in the certificate)
- Plane registered in different country
- Ownership changes
- Aircraft is totally destroyed or scrapped
- The holder of the certificate loses their US citizenship
