  • nature of the emergency (fire,hazmat release,

incident scene control zones

A

Hot zone—area where resolving the problem takes
place.
—be trained appropriately to manage the situation
—- wear complete PPE designed for the specific
hazard
—–participate in the incidents personnel
accountability system

Warm zone—–area immediately outside the hot zone
for personnel who directly supporting the work
being performed in the hot zone..this zone is
where decon station normally assembled

Cold zone—–are surrounding the hot and warm zone.
staging area….command post….ric/rit crew
