protected noncombustible or noncombustible …allows a wider range of materials than type l construction
type ll-A construction
requires that structural components have one -hour fire resistence
type lll construction
constructed with exterior walls of masonry but from a technical standpoint any non combustible material with a fire resistance can be used
type lV construction
heavy timber…..mill construction….requires minimum dimension of 6 inch x 10 inch for floor construction
type V construction
wood frame…..light frame construction…many types of type V structures are required to have 1-hour fire resisitance
