Who gets breast screening and how often?
50-70yr olds every 3 years
What is the treatment for DCIS?
surgery followed by radiotherapy to the whole breast
When should irradiation of the breast alone take place after breast conserving surgery?
negative sentinel node biopsy; nodes containing micromets only in SNB; <4 nodes involved in an adequate axillary node clearance
When should a boost to the tumour bed be given with brreast conserving surgery?
women under age of 54 on day of surgery and posterior margin <1mm for invasive disease after full thickness exciison
When should patients be given chest wall RT after mastectomy?
tumour size >5cm; 4 or more involved nodes; involved resextion margins; T4 disease
When should patients recieve RT to the ipsilateral axilla with mastectomy?
> 1 positive macromet sentinel node
When should radiotherapy be give nto the supraclavicular fossa?
4 or more involved nodes
Who is trastuzamab given to?
patients whose cancer cells overexpress HER2
