Circ Water Flashcards
1
Q
What are the CW Pump Trips?
A
- Manual
- Overload
- instanteous Overcurrent
- Undervoltage on the associated RCP Bus
2
Q
What is the De-icing flowpath?
A
- From a single unit discharge vault (WMO-16 or -26), through the de-ice tunnel and out the middle intake tunnel (WMO-30 is closed).
3
Q
What are the indications of icing?
A
- Circulating Water temperature ≤ 35°F.
- Frazzle Ice
- > 1 Foot of drawdown in the Forebay not caused by starting a CW Pump
- Traveling screens high and/or extreme high differential pressure alarms are annunciating with little or no trash collection in the screen wash trash
4
Q
What systems support the CW System?
A
- Chlorine Injection
- Miscellaneous Sealing and Cooling Water
- Screen Wash System
- Vacuum Priming
- 250v DC
5
Q
What are the CW System loads?
A
- NESW
- Chlorine Injection (x-tie header)
- Miscellaneous Sealing
Cooling Water (x-tie header) - Lawn Sprinkler System (x-tie header)
- TACW Heat Exchanger
- Main Condensers
- Feed Pump Condensers
- Radiological Liquid Waste
- Turbine Room Sump
- Overflow
6
Q
What does T.S. 3.7.9, Ultimate Heat Sink, State?
A
- To meet this condition, the UHS temperature limit of ≤ 88.8°F and the level should not fall below the level necessary for normal unit operation.
7
Q
When do the CW outlet valves auto open?
A
- They auto open with associated CW pump auto start to prevent pump runnout
8
Q
Will CW outlet valves auto open on a manual CW pump start?
A
- No, you must manually open the CW outlet valves on a Manual CW Pump start. This prevents pump runout
9
Q
When do the CW outlet valves auto close?
A
- Auto close on associated CW pump breaker opening. - Prevents short cycling the system
10
Q
When will a CW pump auto start?
A
- With the CR Switch in Auto, the CW Pump will auto start on a failure of a running CW Pump. (Running CW control switch in Run with the breaker open.)
11
Q
What are the CW pump power supplies?
A
- 1D(2D) / CW Pump #11(21)
- 1A(2A) / CW Pump #12(22)
- 1B(2B) / CW Pump #13(23)
- 2C / CW Pump #24
