90-180 beats per min, 30-60 breaths

Respiratory rate of 20 to 30 breaths a minute

An infant reflux that occurs when something is placed in the infants palm, the infant grasps it
Rooting reflex
Takes place when something touches a neonates cheek: the neonate will instinctively turn his or her head towards the touch
Sucking reflex
When an infant starts sucking when his/her lips are stroked
Fontanelles
Allows the head to be molded, the fontanelles are the area or space between the bones that eventually fuse to form the skull. Posterior usually forms in 3 months, anterior between 9-18 months

The formation of a close, personal relationship

Occurs when an infant understands that parents or caregivers will respond to their needs

Infants who are repeatedly rejected
