Endometrium
The lining of the inside of the uterus
Embryo
The stage from 0 to 10 weeks after fertilization
Fetus
The stage from 10 weeks to delivery
Birth canal
Made up of the vagina and cervix. It It the path the fetus travels through

Narrowest portion of the uterus that opens into the vagina
Bloody show
Pink tinged mucous. The small amount of bloody discharge often signals the beginning of labor

A sack in which the fetus develops inside of, it contains about 500 to 1000 mL of amniotic fluid, which helps insulate and protect a fetus
Term gestation
A pregnancy that has reached full term. A pregnancy is considered full-term once it reaches 39 weeks but is not going to be on 40 weeks and six days
What happens to the diaphragm when there’s a fetus inside?

Anemic
A condition where people have too few red blood cells, resulting in a decreased ability to perfuse the body
Gestational diabetes
Diabetes that develops during pregnancy in women who may not have had diabetes previously
Signs and symptoms of Prececlampsia or pregnancy induced hypertension
- Severe hypertension
- Severe or persistent headache
- Visual abnormal tea such as seeing spots, blurred vision, or sensitivity to light
- Edema in the hands and feet
- Anxiety
Eclampsia
Characterized by seizures that occur as a result of hypertension
