- occur 2 days or less
- normal incentive spirometry result
Intermittent
- occur 2 days or more
- normal incentive spirometry result
- Affects ADLs, use inhaler twice a week
Mild
- awaken up with cough, takes more than a week, ADL is affected, lung function test is abnormal
Moderate
- occur throughout each day
- ADL is limited
- Awaken up every night
