What is group
A group is two or more individuals, interacting and interdependent, who perceive themselves as being a group and have come together to achieve particular objectives.
What is member satisfaction
Membership in the group must provide people with short-term satisfaction and facilitate their long-term growth and development.
What is team
a small number of people with complementary skills who are committed to a common mission. The difference between team and group is that in team people are more dependent on each other.
What are 2 types of groups
- Formal groups
- Informal groups
What is formal group
They are more formed and organized.
What are 2 sub types of formal group
It consists of 2 sub types.
- Command group (members reporting to a supervisor)
- Task group (member working together to achieve a common goal without a supervisor)
What is informal group
Which are not created formally and official. They are just group of friends.
What are 2 sub types of informal group
- interest group
- friendship group
