Q

Effects of ANP on kidney?

A

Increase GFR:
Increases urine output, which decreases blood volume, which decreases blood pressure
Increases loss of Na+/H2O: which decreases blood volume and BP
Decreases Renin release:
Which decreases ANG II release, which decreases release of Aldosterone/ADH

Q

Is this a feedback loop?

A

Negative feedback loop. Reduced blood volume and pressure decreases stretch of atria until ANP is not released
