A
Growth of organ caused by increase in replication rate

What is neoplasia?
A
Hyperplasia but the cell proliferation is NOT under control

- hormonal stimulation
- increased functional demand
- chronic injury

- Endometrial hyperplasia (high estrogen)
- Prostate hyperplasia (high androgens)

- cystitis (stasis of urea)
- can be source of sepsis
- difficulty urinating due to compression or urethra
