NARRATE THE TRAIN WASH PROCESS @ BED

A
  1. On approach to the FIRST of Treadle Switches ( DOUBLE) reduce speed to 5KPH
  2. Check DIB for type of wash and speed
  3. Ensure First Wash Indicator is showing GREEN ASPECT
  4. As you get closer to the WASH, SINGLE TREAD SWITCH seen, when this is passed the brushes start and foam is produced
    (If not, by time you reach DIB, stop and contact DC)
  5. Once DIB is passed, in between 1st and 2nd VERTICAL BRUSHES, is the 1st of 4 FURTHER WASH INDICATORS
  6. When carrying out a FULL WASH, the wash indicator TURNS RED, when the train is in correct position for brush to WASH FRONT END OF TRAIN
  7. As the coupler approaches the docking board the speed should be around 2KPH

(If faster, wash indicator turns red, train in wrong position and can cause damage to train and/ or brush)

  1. Once coupler is near docking watch the WASH INDICATOR change from AMBER TO RED AND STOP IMMEDIATELY

(if any wash indicator turns red before reaching docking board, stop train and contact DC as it is a fault)

  1. Once END of train has been washed, Wash indicator will turn AMBER
  2. Proceed no more than 5KPH to the next docking board
  3. When the docking wash indicator turns RED, stop the train —> the couple ends of train will now be washed
  4. This will continue until all ends of the trains have been washed
  5. Once complete, proceed to WASH PLANT CLEAR THIS POINT sign and contact DC for instructions

(if changing ends, signal at the TVA end of AA road is signal 87)

There is also a wash indicator when facing TVA3 —> RED ASPECT IF FAULTY OR EMERGENCY MUSHROOM PRESSED

How many emergency stop buttons are there and how do you reset the Wash?

  1. Depress E/Stop button
  2. wash indicators should turn red and the DIB should go blank and release mushroom
    3, Press and Hold reset button until no wash is shown on the DIB
  3. The Wash indicator under DIB should be green and other should show no aspect
    5, Advise the DC has been reset and act on instructions

Where is WASH at POP located and how does it function?

A

Between South and North TVAs

It can be started from either North and South TVA. With foam I one direction and rinse in other direction

What is the Wash Process at POP?

A
  1. stop at W board, there will be a red flashing aspect, inside the wash
  2. once Green, proceed through the wash at 5KPH to the termination point of the move
  3. Once at the termination point, change ends and contact controller for instructions back through the wash for rinse cycle
  4. Once you approach wash, stop at W board, observe FLASHING RED LIGHT, then proceed through when the WASH INDICATOR SHOWS A GREEN ASPECT
