A

During a vehicle failure

22
Q

How do you operate the BLBS?

A
  1. Open the ECU cupboard
Turn the ECU switch to Isolate
  2. It removes traction and braking commands to that vehicle
26
Q
  1. Can you isolate more than 1 ECU?
  2. If Control asks you to isolate another ECU, what should you do to the first one you’ve isolated?
A
  1. No
  2. Reinstate the original isolated ECU, before isolating another ECU in another vehicle
27
Q

How do you carry out an ECU SWITCH RESET?

A

In the ECU Cupboard, locate the key with a string for reset and hold clockwise for 2 seconds.

If there’s a button instead, press button for 2 seconds

28
Q

Why would you need to do a VTCU reset?

A

Due to traction or lighting issue

29
Q

Where is a VTCU usually done and why?

A

At a terminal station, to minimise disruption to the service

30
Q

NARRATE THE VTCU PROCESS

A
  1. Make an announcement and carry out door procedure
  2. Once ADC is gained, apply inhibit at the DCP
  3. Carry out VTCU reset (emergency saloon lights then back to normal)
  4. Once VTCU reset is complete, return to DCP
  5. Clear inhibit and complete door procedure
31
Q

Where can you find the front door or end door bypass switch?

A

At the B and A end of every vehicle

32
Q

In what scenario is the Front or End Door Bypass switch isolated?

A

During a train rescue, so that the end door can be open to enable communication between the two PSAs

33
Q

Where can you find the MCBs in a B92?

A
  1. A end Aux Panel
  2. B end Aux Panel

  5. Above the ECU
34
Q

Where you can find the MCBs in a B2007?

A

In the A and B end, articulated sections in the top leaf cupboard

35
Q

How would you visually know if a MCB has been tripped in a:

  1. B92
  2. B2007
A
