  2. CCC will give PSA permission to select E/S
    At downhill I be of train and move joystick to coast
  3. PSA will allow train to roll slightly until shoe gear in contact with CDR

  1. CCC will tell PSA to select E/S and depress both push out buttons and push joystick to power
  2. Train should jolt and move into area where the shoe gear is in contact with CDR

Narrate the TRAIN RESCUE PROCESS

A
  1. CRC WILL ADVISE VOS TO PREPARE FOR RESCUE TRAIN
  2. VOS TO MAKE ANNOUNCEMENT THAT COUPLING WILL TAKE PLACE
  3. CRC WILL TELL VOC TO DETRAIN CUSTOMERS
  4. ONCE RESUCE TRAIN IS EMPTY, CCC WILL GIVE INSTRUCTIONS TO MOVE TOWARDS FAILED TRAIN
  5. MOVEMENT MAY START IN AUTO, BUT LAST PART IN E/S à STOP 3 METRES FROM FAILED TRAIN
  6. VOC MAY BE REQUIRED TO PREPARE COUPLERS FOR MECHANICAL COUPLING
  7. BOTH PSA MUST AGREE ON COMMUNICATION BEFORE STARTING
  8. VOC MUST GET CCC PERMISSION TO GO TRACKSIDE FOR COUPLING, CCC MAY TELL VOC TO OPERATE CIC IF AIR LEAK
  9. ONCE PERMISSION GRANTED, VOC CAN PREPARE COUPLERS

CHECK BEFORE COUPLING
1. NO TARGETS ATTACHED
2. NO OBSTRUCTIONS
3. NO EXTERNAL EQUIPMENT COVERS MISSING
4. NO RED SKIRTS MISSING
5. RED TAILLIGHTS
6. BRAKE INDICATORS SHOULD NOT SHOW GREEN

  1. ONCE COUPLERS ARE PREPARED AND CHECKS COMPLETED, VOC MUST REQUEST PERMISSION TO SELECT E/S
  2. ONCE GRANTED, DRIVE UP TO 1M OF FAILED VEHICLE AND CHECK COUPLERS ARE ALIGNED. COUPLE NO MORE THAN 3KPH. ENSURE AIR PRESSURE LAMP IS LIT, CLEAR INHIBIT, TEST COUPLING BY REVERSING SLIGHTLY
