Makes you a better listener - used to having to interpret meaning

Because English grew from a number of roots and incorporated elements from different languages.

Benefits of learning cultural aspects
- It will make learners understand easily some difficult aspects of the language
- Activate intrinsic motivation (Harmer, 2007)
- It helps to avoid stereotypes
- It enables students to take control of their own learning by evaluation and questioning the wider context
- More tolerant world, without prejudices and with a positive attitude towards Foreign countries and people.
