What are the ‘jazz chants’?
They were proposed by Graham (1993), as she wanted to convey the rhythm and natural intonation of American English. She developed the ‘jazz chants’ technique in which pupils and teachers recite rhythmic poems with an enjoyable swing to them
Why songs facilitate learning?
Because they increase interest and attention, so they activate the information mentally, physically and emotionally. Moreover, the present of repetitions makes easier the learning of vocabulary and grammar structures
