Social Perception
The manner in which we build form impressions about the characteristic of individuals or groups of people.
Primary Effect
The occasions when first impressions are more important than subsequent impressions.
Recency Effect
The occasions where recent information that we have obtained about an individual is most important in forming impressions

The tendency for individuals to infer the causes of other people’s behaviors.

Features of the individual whose behaviors are being considered.

Features of the given surrounding.
Fundamental Attribution Error
When inferring the causes of other’s behaviors, there is a general bias towards dispositional causes versus situational causes.
Halo Effect
The tendency to used a general impression of a person to influence a specific evaluation of them.
Belief in a Just World
The belief that good things happen to good people and that bad things happen to bad people.
