social catagroization is an unconsious process of identifying amperosn of a member of a certain group based on shared characteristics.

social identofication is the second stage, here we adopt the identity of the group we have identified ourselves with and automatically identify anyone else we meet as our in group or out group.

the is the final stage, during this stage we begin to compare our group with other groups.

- downward

veiwing other groups negativly to enhance your own group.
