describe the method
Once the roles were assigned, both the learner and teacher were shown to a room where the learner was then attached to a shock simulator. The teacher was then guided to a different room with a large machine that controlled the shocks that the learner was given. The learner had to remember a list of paired words and the teacher would test them by naming a word and thenasking teh learner to recall the pair. The teacher was told to administer a shock after every mistake and it would prgessively get higher each time. The learner made grunts and screams and the no sound or responce at all.
