What is dehydration?
The loss of water and salts essential for normal body function
What does it mean to hydrate?
To take on water
What do we need to be hydrated?
So the cells, tissues and organs have enough water in them to function correctly.
What do diuretics do?
Makes a person produce kore urine
What is metabolic rate?
the rate at which metabolic processes take place; the rate at which a body uses up energy.
What is carbo-loading?
Process used to maximise stores of glycogen (energy) in their muscles and liver
Why are vitamins important?
Give good skin, vision, and help with blood clotting
Why are fibres important?
Helps a person digest foods
What type of training do carbohydrates help with?
Anaerobic and aerobic training
What type of training do fats help with?
Aerobic training
