Golfer’s elbow is an overuse injury which causes pain in the tendons where your forearm attaches to the bony bump on the inside of your elbow.

18
Q

What is tennis elbow?

Tennis elbow is the pain and has the same cause as Golfer’s elbow just this time it’s on the outside of the elbow instead.

19
Q

How can Tennis/golfer’s elbow be caused?

A

It can be caused by a number of reasons and not just in these two sports, it is usually an over use injury to do with movements with the elbow or possibly incorrect technique (e,g a bad swing in tennis).

20
Q

How can Golfer’s/tennis elbow be treated?

A

It mainly just requires icing and rest however a brace can be worn while sport is being played and it hasn’t fully healed. It can take up to 6 months to heal and if by that point it doesn’t, surgery could be needed to fix it.
