- Contain an inhaled corticosteroid to suppress AW inflammation, and a LABA to stimulate bronchdilation

COMPOUND B2-AGONIST-CORTICOSTEROID INHALERS: ADVERSE EFFECTS
A
- Oral thrush
- Hoarse Voice
- They increase the risk of pneumonia in patients with COPD
- Very high doses for a long time systemic adverse efects include adrenal suppression, growth retardation in children and potentially osteoporosis
- LABA = tremors, arrhythmias and muscle cramps

A
- COPD with a hs of pneumonia
- Children, with potential for growth suppression
- CVDs, in whom tachycardia may provoke angina or arrhythmias

A
- Generally not a problem due to low systemic absorption
- Beta blockers may reduce the effectiveness of beta 2 agonists
