Regulation of Aerobic Cellular respiration Flashcards
1
Q
If NADH levels are high what happens
A
they will inhibit pyruvate decarboxylase and pyruvate dehydrogenase and reduce amount of Acetyl COA that gets in kreb cycle
2
Q
What happens if ADP is high
A
When ADP is high, it activates phosphofructokinase enzyme to produce more ATP and activate glycolysis.
3
Q
What happens if ATP levels are high?
A
ATP inhibits enzyme phosphofructokinase
4
Q
What is phosphofructokinase
A
An enzyme that catalyzes fructose - 6 phosphate into fructose 1,6 bisphosphate.
