- Upper anterior and molar teeth
What is the typical cause of nursing caries?
- Inappropriate use of feeding cups and bottles
4 Diet adice you would give to a mother of young child?
- Use of feeding cup instead of a bottle from 6 months onwards
- Do not put free-sugar containing drinks in a feeder bottle
- Children should not be put to bed with a feeder bottle or cup
- Soya mild should be avoided unless indicated medically
- Avoid sugar containing drinks and keep to mealtimes and dilute with water + use a straw
What is the only 2 safe drinks to have between mealtimes?
Water and milk
